About
I’m Jordan, and I make headshots for people who hate having their picture taken.
Most of the people I photograph haven't updated their headshot in five years. By the end of an hour together, they like the result enough to use it for the next five.
Why this exists.
I started photographing professional headshots after watching too many smart, talented people lose business because their LinkedIn photo did not match the room they walked into. The technical side of a great headshot is solvable. The hard part is what happens in front of the camera.
My sessions are built around that hard part. The first ten minutes are throwaway frames so you warm up. The lighting is the same every time so I can spend the energy on direction instead of fiddling with gear. The retouching is calibrated to look like you on a good day — not someone else.
I work out of a studio in downtown Kirkland and on-location at offices and outdoor spots across the Eastside and Seattle. Most of my clients are executives, founders, attorneys, actors, and coaches. The headshot they walk out with is usually the one they will use for the next two to five years.
The gear, briefly, for the people who care.
- Camera: Canon R5
- Lenses: RF 85mm F1.2 L USM, EF 50mm f/1.2L USM, EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM
- Lighting: Godox AD400 Pro x2, Godox AD200 Pro x2
- Workflow: Capture One, Photo Mechanic, Photoshop
The gear matters less than people think. The reason I list it is that consistency does — using the same setup every shoot is what lets a team's headshots match across years.
